Alan Woods (born 23 October 1944) is a British orthodox Marxist political theorist and author. He is one of the leading members of the Revolutionary Communist International (RCI) as well as of its British section the RCP.

He is political editor of the RCI’s In Defence of Marxism website. Alan was a leading member within the Militant tendency and along with Ted Grant one of the editors for the Militant International Review until the early 1990s. After collapse of the Militant, he followed Ted Grant and along with him became one of the founding members of the International Marxist Tendency, which in 2024 foundet the RCI, in which he’s fully politically active to this day.
